Manor Farm, Plaitford - selling the finest New Forest pedigree beef and pork

Manor Farm is a small farm within the ancient New Forest perambulation in Hampshire, run by Hugh and Hilary Harper with help from their two children, Harry and Lottie and a few others.

The farm consists of 140 acres of pasture, Victorian managed water meadows and ancient woodland. The farm is managed under English Nature stewardship and woodland management schemes. We have been accredited with the New Forest Marque for both our beef and pork.

All the animals live exclusively outdoors to make the very most of our natural resources.

Our herd of pedigree Belted Galloway cows grazes the pastures and meadows at home during the winterand during the summer we exercise our New Forest commoners rights to have the cattle roam over the New Forest and adjacent commons.

We also have native breed pigs living a natural outdoor life in the woods, rootling happily for whatever they can find, and enjoying the bumper crop of acorns apples last Autumn.

We allow our animals to grow and mature slowly and naturally, developing a distinctive texture and taste so that you can really appreciate the difference in our produce.

We sell our meat direct from the farm, and only to private customers and selected partners. Fresh meat is sometimes available, and we sell from the freezer all year round.

We welcome visitors at any time, but preferably with a bit of notice.
